Ubisoft’s long-running franchise debuts its newest outing with the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game is available now on the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia, with a PlayStation 5 version set to launch alongside the console on November 12, 2020, in North America and on November 19, 2020, in Europe. A new launch trailer is viewable below, along with a video detailing the Norse mythology used in the game and an extended look at the game’s opening hours.
The story follows Viking leader Eivor, who can be either a man or a woman, and their brother Sigurd as they head off to 10th-century England to find new lands. Players will be able to customize everything from clothing and hairstyle to tattoos and warpaint. Valhalla brings back many of the series’ trademarks, including a greater focus on stealth and the return of the hidden blade.
